Principal

2023/2024 will mark my 29th year in education and I am still as passionate about it as I was my very first day. I graduated from Arizona State University in 1994 with a bachelor’s in education and began teaching right away. In 2003, I received my master’s degree in educational leadership from Northern Arizona University. Over my career, I have served as both a teacher and administrator of private, public, and charter schools. I was lucky enough to assist in the opening of the very first charter school in Nevada in 2011 and have been involved with them ever since. In 2016, I opened the SLAM campus in Henderson and have watched that campus grow and become a bright light in student’s lives. I want our campus here in Tempe to become that very same thing, a bright light, in which students and their families can feel safe, heard, and be contributing members of the educational process.
